India's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki is all set to complete the sale of 2 lakh vehicles in October, driven by robust demand due to the festive season.
Unlike previous years, Diwali, Navratri, and Dhanteras fell in the same month in 2024, and this is considered one of the crucial factors behind this robust growth in sales.
Maruti Suzuki's Strong Performance Continues
"This month, we are going deliver at least 2 lakh vehicles and we are going to reduce the inventory across the network. Our network inventory by the end of the month will be around 30 days," Partho Banerjee, senior executive officer of Marketing and Sales at Maruti Suzuki told reporters.
Prior to this month, the largest sale in the history of Maruti Suzuki happened in October 2020 when the company delivered 1.91 lakh units, primarily propelled by the people's need to have their own transport due to the pandemic outbreak.
In October 2023, Maruti Suzuki delivered 1.5 lakh units.
Earlier this month, a report released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers revealed that Maruti Suzuki topped the list of vehicle exporters in the country, with the company sending outbound shipments carrying 147,603 units in the first six months of this fiscal year.
