COOX, India's leading home services startup, said on Monday it has raised $125 K in a seed series funding round.

The company said it is planning to use the fund to extend its operations to another 20 cities and to improve its marketing strategies and technology through integration of AI.

The round was led by Infection Point Ventures. The startup investing platform based in Gurgaon, has so far invested over Rs 700 crore in more than 200 startups.

"Managing everyday responsibilities or hosting events often requires external help for smooth management. A service provider like COOX that assists with both day-to-day tasks and event hosting makes life easier, allowing individuals to relax and enjoy their time. Not only does it provide convenience, but it also supports the gig economy by creating job opportunities in the hospitality industry," Financial Express quoted Vinay Bansal, Founder & CEO of Inflection Point Ventures, as saying.

"By using technology, COOX modernizes home services and ensures hosts can enjoy their events as much as guests. COOX aligns perfectly with IPV's commitment to backing tech-driven solutions that make a tangible impact," he added later.

Founded in 2019 with a vision- 'Hosts should enjoy as much as the Guests' by Akshat Gupta, Abhishek Gupta and Rajat Lohri, COOX, has so far served more than five lakh people in more than 20 cities including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Pune, Chennai, Kolkata and Goa.

Apart from offering on-demand home services of waiters, cooks, cleaners; the startup also provides catering services, party decorators and live singers. It also provides the option of hiring a cook for monthly basis.

Home services startups, providing professional and qualified workers, have gained popularity lately.
