In a delightful turn of events, Hollywood superstar Dwayne Johnson, known for his macho image, recently surprised his young daughters with painted toenails. The actor, who is also a doting father, shared a hilarious video on Instagram capturing the adorable reactions of his daughters, Jasmine, 8, and Tiana, 6. The video, which also featured his mother Ata and wife Lauren Hashian, began with the girls giggling at the sight of their father's painted toes.
This is crazy. I wake up in the morning and my toes are painted! Johnson exclaimed in the video, much to the amusement of his family. The girls then led him to their group of Elf on the Shelfs, one of which was seen holding a bottle of red nail polish. The sight prompted one of Johnson's daughters to cheekily remark, Oh dad, there's a lot more than just that!
Hashian, sharing in the family's laughter, said, I have goosebumps, and added, Look, you and your mom are matching! Ata then sweetly showed off her matching red manicure to the camera.
The Elf on the Shelf Prank
The family continued to laugh at the elves' prank until Johnson did the unimaginable: he touched the elf. Don't touch it! both girls screamed, with one explaining that touching the elf would cause it to lose its magic. Off-camera, one of the girls ran far away from her dad while yelling, He touched the elf! Johnson, however, assured his children that only adults can touch it, before joking, At least they're all bigger than Kevin Hart.
In his Instagram caption, Johnson wrote, These Christmas Elves are really getting under my skin!! And now on my toes while I was asleep - forcing me to wake up to this VERY unfunny surprise. He then humorously added, If I'm being honest, I think red polish actually brings out even more hyper masculinity and undeniable sexiness, no? He also questioned his decision to pick up the Elf, putting its magic in jeopardy, and ended his caption with a loving shoutout to his friend and fellow actor, Kevin Hart.
Johnson's Latest Work: Moana 2
Johnson's latest work is "Moana 2", the sequel to the 2016 American animated musical fantasy adventure film "Moana", produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios. The film was directed by John Musker and Ron Clements, and is based on a story conceived by Clements, Musker, Williams, Hall, Pamela Ribon, and the writing team of Aaron Kandell and Jordan Kandell.
The film also stars Auliʻi Cravalho in her film debut as the voice of the eponymous character and also features the ensemble voices of Rachel House, Temuera Morrison, Jemaine Clement, Nicole Scherzinger, and Alan Tudyk. The second installment picks up where the first film left off, with Moana returning home from a three-day journey, only to discover a mysterious object that holds the key to an ancient island with angry gods.
In a related event, Indian actress Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas celebrated their wedding anniversary by watching "Moana 2" with their daughter Malti Marie in New York. The film seems to be a favorite among children, with Johnson's character Maui being particularly popular.
Johnson has previously spoken about the film's message, saying, "There's this idea that it's OK to think beyond-in this case, beyond the reef, and it's OK to think outside of how society may box you in. It's OK to feel like there's more. It's okay to ask, 'well, what if? 'What if there's more out there that I want to look for and explore and discover?' And that, to me, is the most powerful thing. It transcends the movie."
This isn't the first time Johnson has shared his family's fun and loving moments with his fans. In the past, he has posted videos of him singing songs from "Moana" to his daughters, further proving his dedication as a father. His recent toenail painting incident is just another testament to his playful and caring nature, showing that even Hollywood's toughest can have a soft side.
