In a groundbreaking announcement, the South Korea-based Japanese girl group, XG, has been confirmed to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2025. This marks a significant milestone in the group's career as it will be their debut performance at the prestigious festival. The event, held in the arid landscape of the Coachella Valley desert in Indio, California, is scheduled to span over two weekends, from April 11 to April 13 and April 18 to April 20. XG is slated to perform on April 13 and 20, distinguishing themselves as the only Japanese artists in the lineup.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, known for its eclectic mix of music genres and art installations, has been a platform for artists to showcase their talent to a global audience. This year, the festival boasts a star-studded lineup with headliners such as Travis Scott, Lady Gaga, Green Day, Post Malone, Missy Elliott, Charli XCX, and Megan Thee Stallion. XG, a seven-member ensemble comprising JURIN, CHISA, HINATA, HARVEY, JURIA, MAYA, and COCONA, made their debut in March 2022 with their single Tippy Toes. They have the distinction of being the first Japanese artists to top the Billboard Hot Trending Songs Powered by Twitter chart. They also graced the cover of Billboard magazine, becoming the first Japanese girl group to achieve this feat.

In 2024, XG embarked on their first world tour, XG 1st WORLD TOUR: The first HOWL, performing in approximately 30 cities worldwide. At present, XG is touring six European cities, including Manchester, London, Berlin, Paris, Brussels, and Amsterdam.
