Stree 2, the horror comedy movie which featured Shraddha Kapoor in the lead role is all set to become the first Hindi movie to collect more than Rs.600 crore from India. 

Released in theatres on August 15, Stree 2 locked horns with Akshay Kumar's Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham's Vedaa, and emerged as a super hit at the box office. 

Stree 2 Sets Box Office on Fire 

According to a recent post by Taran Adarsh on X, formerly, known as Twitter, Stree 2 will cross the Rs.600 mark on Sunday, September 22. 

The movie earned Rs 3.80 crore on its 6th Saturday, September 21, taking the movie's overall collection to Rs.598 crore.

Considering the weekend factor, and strong bookings, the film will cross Rs.600 mark by the end of Sunday. 

Adarsh revealed that Ghajini was the first Hindi movie to collect Rs.100 core from India, while 3 Idiots and PK opened the Rs.200 crore and Rs.300 crore club. 

Baahubali 2: The Conclusion became the first movie to collect Rs.400 crore and Rs.500 crore from India. 

Stree 2: All You Need to Know

Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree 2 is the fifth instalment in the Maddock Supernatural Universe. 
The movie narrates the story around a small town named Chanderi which gets haunted again. 
Adding up to the creepiness, this time women are being mysteriously abducted by a headless entity. 

Apart from Shraddha Kapoor, the film also stars Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana, Anya Singh, Pankaj Tripathi and Abhishek Banerjee in key roles.

The film upon its release received unanimously positive responses from all corners, and according to the latest updates, it has collected more than Rs.800 crore globally. 

Stree 2 will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video after completing its theatrical run. An official announcement regarding the digital premiere of the movie will be made soon.
