Thailand-based Minor Hotels which has over 550 hotels spanning 56 countries under its belt is all set to debut in Singapore as it announced plans to launch its Avani Hotels & Resorts lifestyle brand in the South East Asian nation.

According to a press statement, Minor Hotels revealed that the plan to debut in Singapore aligns with the hotel chain's expansion strategy to strengthen its footprint in major global destinations.

Hotel to be operational by 2027

The statement further noted that the planned 13-storeyed hotel is expected to be operational by 2027. The hotel will feature 200 rooms, and Minor Hotels has already partnered with Singapore's Kajima Development and Abu Dhabi-based Alwathba Investment to develop the facility.

"Avani Singapore represents a strategic market entry for Minor Hotels, and we are honoured to have our partners Kajima and Alwathba alongside us as we venture into Singapore's hospitality sector," said Dillip Rajakarier, Group CEO of Minor International and CEO of Minor Hotels. He added: "Their industry expertise and market knowledge will ensure the delivery of an exceptional hotel experience, creating a vibrant base for business and leisure travellers."

The statement added that the new hotel will be located less than 200 metres from the Tanjong Pagar MRT Station and 350 metres from the Maxwell MRT Station, thus providing easy access to Singapore's Downtown Core.
